You guys like my weirdly militant outfit today?
I swear I was NOT planning on looking like Xenia Onatopp when I first put on this jumpsuit.
But you all know how matchy matchy I get with color, so of course I had to put on the green beret!!!!
And then everything else sort of fell into place…
Also, you can still see my tan lines!! Woot!!
So once I put the whole outfit together, I decided to take it one step further and I brought out my stickers!
SERGEANT HOTPANTS AT YO SERVICE!
Right now I am the heaviest I’ve ever been in my whole life. I know this, not because I’ve weighed myself, but because many of my clothes are either too tight, or don’t fit at all. So getting outfits together lately has been “slim pickings” if you know what I mean.
(Remember my New Years Resolutions? I still haven’t weighed myself!! Go me!)
But I’ve been extremely busy and stressed lately, so exercising as much as I’d like to has been tough. I’m also getting over a running injury and OH YEAH, it was also just WINTER (a time when most New Yorkers go into hibernation)!
Well, to show you all that I still have my issues…
I wasn’t going to post the below picture.
When I first saw it, I thought, “If anyone showed this picture to a 20 year old Hotpants, she would have adamantly denied that her butt would ever get this huge.”
I know I know. Time goes by, and bodies change.
But still……
So instead of hide the pic on my hard drive never to be seen again, I’m exposing it on the blog, which is not easy.
Every once in a while a photo of your ass shows up and slaps you in the face.
And it reminds you that there might be more of you to love, but you really do have to love it, because it’s going to be there when you turn around.
I know it’s not easy.
But we have to keep fighting against the negative voices in our heads.
No matter what day, what weight, what zit, whatever.
Never ever stop telling your body that you love it…ALL of it.
Every.
Single.
Day.

Thank you for being so courageous. I have followed your blog for a while now and I find it incredibly refreshing and real. By the way, you are absolutely beautiful on the outside, but more important, you are beautiful on the inside! Know that your vulnerability helps people love themselves more <3
Thank YOU for the beautiful comment. I always have to remind myself that exposing my vulnerability not only helps me, but might help someone else too. Sending you so much love from NYC. xoxoxo
Lovely mix of colors!
You remind me of Woman version of Che Guevara!
